Happy St. Patrick's Day!!!

Here's a riddle for you on St. Patrick's Day...

What do you call a fake stone in Ireland???  (find out the answer in our next blog entry!)

Hopefully, you've been enjoying our beautiful weather lately and have been playing outside!  Here's some news about our school and classroom.

First, all-day Kindergarten news...

A message to any parents of a child who will be turning 5 years old by September 1, 2011:

Kindergarten registration is currently open. Madison School will be hosting a Kindergarten Visitation on Tuesday, April 19. We urge all incoming kindergarten students and parents to attend. While new kindergarten students visit their classroom; parents will learn more about the school, staff, curriculum, and PTA. Parents should call the school office to RSVP.

District 200 is also hosting informational meetings about the new All-Day Kindergarten program opening this fall. Parents interested in the program must attend one of the following sessions:
*Tuesday, April 5th at 12:30pm - Location: Monroe Middle School
*Wednesday, April 6th at 6:30pm - Location: Monroe Middle School
*Wednesday, April 13th at 8:30am - Location: Hubble Middle School
*Thursday, April 14th at 6:30pm - Location: Hubble Middle School

Classroom News:
There will be a quiz over Customary Measurement on Friday.  Notes/books will be allowed for the quiz.

Next week, before Spring Break, we will be testing over the Southeast Region in Social studies.

Report Cards go home the Friday before Spring Break.

That's it for now,
