Miss Seidel is now Mrs. Schroeder!
Hi Everyone!
Welcome back! I hope you all had a wonderful, relaxing Thanksgiving Break with friends and family. Just a few friendly reminders as we're back in school for a few weeks.
I have to go through a lot of steps in order to "offically" change my name through the county, social security, drivers liscense etc... before the district will change my e-mail. I'll send home a hard copy and update in our blog when that change is ready.
Now that our weather is offically freezing it's important to remember to send your child to school with all their winter "gear." Hats, scarves and gloves etc... An extra sweatshirt or light jacket is fine to keep in the classroom too if it gets chilly.
Your child is coming home today with a pink letter about Mrs. Pine's last week next week. She has been in our classroom since the beginning of the year observing and teaching some lessons, attending meetings and parent teacher conferences. She's a student at North Eastern University and will be getting her own classroom soon (hopefully!) Because of this, I'm asking for small donations to help her start her first classroom. There are suggestions on the pink letter going home. Any item(s) donated would be much appretiated. I'd like to give her the basket of goodies next Wednesday. Thank you!!!
Next Tuesday, 12/7 is Pasta Dinner Night here at Madison. I'll help serve from 6:15-7:00...hope to see you there!
Thursday, 12/16, is our Madison Winter Concert and it's all grades this year! Expect it to be very crowded both in the school and parking. More updates to follow in Madison Memos and from me.
Friday 12/17 is our Winter Party in the afternoon and then Winter Break from 12/18-1/2/11
Again, thank you all for all your kind words and support throughout my engagement! I loved seeing some of you at the wedding, it meant so much! The classroom surprise shower and gift were wonderful and I truly LOVE my classroom book! It will be something I'll cherish forever...many, many thanks!
Mrs. Schroeder :)
