What's Up Ahead...and THANK YOU!
Many, many thanks for my beautiful cards/letters, flowers, gifts and dinner! You have truly made my week so wonderful and I'm touched by your generosity and kindness. This has been a wonderful school year and I have enjoyed teaching this group of children so much. I will be sad to see them move on to 5th grade. Thank you again!!!
Mrs. Schroeder
With that said, I can't believe we are heading into the last few weeks of school already! This year has gone by so fast and I'm sure we are all ready for summer break to officially begin. Before it does though, here is what's up ahead.
Math: Long Division test Wednesday 5/15 (after field trip)
-patterns and probability to end the year
Social Studies: Finish writing speeches for the West/Southwest regions of the united states, a power point presentation, create your "tour guide person" record your speeches, and present
Writing: Finish Bird Narratives. Publish your Bird expository, narrative and make corrective changes to your persuasive essays. Next up, poetry!
Reading: Tuesday will be your last day of the reading switch for the year! For my switch, we will take a short answer test covering the second half of the book (ch. 11-20) and a vocabulary multiple choice test as well. We will start our Reader's Theater plays the following week and present to the lower grades the last week of school.
Science: Lincoln Marsh Field Trip on Wednesday 5/15! Please refer to the green memo sent home in today's Friday mail. It explains what to wear, what to pack, and what type of lunch to bring for the "waste-free lunch"
-The last week of school we will have a "health talk" with the 4th grade students. The fourth grade boys and girls will have two different, separate discussions. There will be a letter sent home informing parents about the information discussed etc.. closer to the date.
