12/12- 12/17

   Hi! Anna and Noël here! We are here to tell you updates on our class blog.
Right now, Mrs. Schroeder is gone until February with her baby. L So Miss Bimschleger is here now!!  J
Don’t forget to add comments we love to hear from everyone!
·       In science, we are learning about the parts of a plant.
·       In social studies, we just took are Revolutionary War test.
·       In Gym, we are trying to beat  Mr. Cortesi’s class... GO 4S!!!
·       In Reading, we are not taking a test this week. (Hurray!) Happy Holiday!
·       In Math, we just took a test. (Yea for Geometry being over!)
·       In Art, we made 3D snowflakes!  You can see them around the classroom! Also, we did ornaments.
·       In Music, Mrs. Decrane did a great job with our winter concert!!!!!!
·           Star  Of the week this week is Cade!
·       Next week is Jule!!!!!!!!

We have Miss Bimschleger as a sub! We have her for 10 weeks!!!!! (Hurray!!!!!)

Winter Concert, Baby News and tests this week....

Hi everyone!

First off, baby news:

Well, the baby is late!  After speaking with my doctor and my family, we've decided that this Wednesday, December 14th will be my last day.  Miss Bimschleger will take over Thursday, Friday and then after break.  I'll be back to school at the very end of February!  But before then, I will keep you all updated with news and baby pictures through our blog! :)  I will miss you guys so much! 

As for the Winter Concert:  It's this Thursday, December 15th. 
7:00PM: Grades 1-3 Performance:
·         All classrooms will be open for students by 6:45pm at the latest.
·         Grade 4-5 classrooms will be open for students with younger siblings.
7:45PM: Grades 4,5, Chorus Performance:
·         All classrooms will remain open until the 4th and 5th grade performance has ended.
·         Grade 1,2, and 3 classrooms remain open for students with older siblings.
***students should be in their classroom 15 minutes before they go on stage and return to their classroom afterwards.  
***Parents should pick their child up from their classroom after the performance

Tests this week:

-There is no reading test this week!

-Revolutionary War test is this Wednesday.  Study your study guide and you will be READY for the test!

-Chapter 16 math test (for my group) is on Thursday

-Spelling Test is Friday.  This is the only test we have on Friday because of the late night before so be sure you're studying your words throughout the week and not waiting until the very end to review.

Matt and Jule's Blog!!!! :)



Hi guys!  Matt and Jule here:
In science we just finished putting our carnations in water with food coloring and we did that to show non-vascular and vascular plants.  The carnation happens to be a vascular plant. It has mold. Gross!

In reading we are reading Sideways Stories from Wayside School and for our reading test we are reading Amelia and Eleanor Go For a Ride.

In social studies we are learning about the Northeast Region and what they produce and what jobs they have.

In spelling we are doing words with the /ōō/sounds.

In physical education we are doing soccer with Mrs. Miles .

In Computer we are doing Fasttmath for about three lessons each week.

In lunch recess we get to play outside or inside if it is rainy

In library we get to pick out 6 books and this week is the book fair !!!!!!!

In art we finished making our Russian birch trees 

This week we have Multicultural  Day!

 For Star of the Week this week is Anna’s star of the week.  Next week it’s Jason’s turn.
Don’t forget   picture retake is on Monday!

Yafet and Cade's Blog!

Hi this is Cade and Yafet and we are doing the blog this week! The star of the week is noel.                                     
For social studies were studying the Revolutionary War and we are going to watch a video.
In science we are studying plants. It’s kind of a review of our first lesson so we know a lot about it already.

In math we are starting chapter 16, Geometry, and most of us are going to different classes
In P.E .  we are playing team handball and the championship is on wed.
In reading we had a test on these story’s  Sarah Plain and Tall.  Also, Home on the Oregon Trail.

In spelling we took a test and the pattern was ou, ow, and oun. By the way no challenge list.
