Week of 1/31/11

Hello everyone!
Here are some updates this week:

Our spelling lists, both regular and challenge, are on spellingcity.com!  Simply go to the website, click on students, and then type in my name, Catherine Schroeder.  You'll pick my name from a list and it will direct you to the two lists I've posted.  Just choose the list you're on this week to practice your words, take tests and/or play spelling games for practice each night!

Math tutors:  The kids are doing a fantastic job studying their facts with their "math tutor!"  Tutors, keep up the hard work and the positive attitude, and if you're studying hard on those multiplication math facts, keep it up!  A little practice each day will show your improvement!

Expect a chapter 18 math test and a short science quiz covering plants on Thursday.  The tests will still happen even if there is a snow day on Wednesday.  If there is a snow day tomorrow AND Wednesday, we'll push the tests back.  Tomorrow and Wednesday will be our days to review and fill out study guides.

Friday is a half-day due to our In-Service Day.  We will follow an AM schedule.
Friday is also our WINTER CARNIVAL!!! Yay:)  I will be in the "cake redemption" room for the first half, so be sure to stop in and say "hi" even if you don't win a cake!

Tomorrow, Feb.1, we're getting our new classmate, Davis!!!  We're so excited to welcome him to our classroom and to our state...he's moving from Ohio!

That's it for now!  Bundle up and tomorrow, even if it's not snowing in the morning, please bring your snow pants, boots, and all the rest of your gear just in case!!!!  I'll fill you in on our "Snow Day" trick tomorrow!

PS.  I will let you know when my e-mail changes.  I'm thinking this week...
