WDSRA In-School Field Trip Pictures

The children had a great time learning different perspectives on life.  They had opportunities to see what it would be like, and learn more about, being in wheel chair, being hearing impared, having impared vision and/or blindness and a little bit about autism.  What a wonderful opportunity for our children!

The week before Thanksgiving....

Hi everyone!

Here's what to expect the week before Thanksgiving:

Last night for parent-teacher conferences is tomorrow (11/15) night.  I'm looking foward to spending time discussing your child's great achievements so far in 4th grade!

Because we have a week off of school for Thanksgiving, we'd like to finish many units and start fresh after the break.   Let's face it, it's hard to remember material after a week off and so much time spent with family and friends! :)

Sooo....we will have our reading test over, How To Babysit an Orangutan on Friday.
Spelling test is planned on Friday as usual and,
Math Chapter 4 test will be for my math switch group and Mrs. Emma's group.  Mr. Jewell's group will be testing early in the week following break.  Please refer to assignment notebooks for exact test date.

Please let me know ahead of time if your child will be missing school the Friday before Thanksgiving Break so we can plan ahead and give the tests on Thursday.  That way, the tests don't linger over the break.  Thanks!

Also, with cold weather approaching, please send kiddos to school with appropriate cold-weather gear to wear outside.  An extra sweat shirt or sweater is also nice to have in the classroom.  It tends to get chilly in our room!

That's it for now!
